Lucille Ball in "Beauty for the Asking" (1939)

YT Summary: This clip is from a time in Lucille Ball's career when she was known more for her dramatic roles than comedic. The critic for the New York Daily News wrote at the time: "This movie shows that Lucille Ball is of the stuff that stars are made of."
Fletchsays...

I had never seen Lucy in anything but a comedic role. It just blew me away to watch her in this. That's why I posted this with the other Lucy video... kind of a contrasty thingy. Oh well, sorry Ms. Ball, but you've been cancelled.

I know it's been only 36 hours, but it seems as if a vid doesn't make it out of the queue in first 12 hours or so, they sit with whatever votes they received in that time until they show up in the "expiring soon" list. But then it needs a good 7-8 votes to even have a chance there. And, unfortunately, timing is everything. If it misses the window at the start, it has to make it during its' eligibility on the "expiring soon" list. There seems to be a black hole in the middle of the queue where vids disappear. Maybe thats good, as only truly awesome videos will make it out, but I also think some great videos are overlooked just because the queue moves so fast and is so large. With 6k+ members now, I can't imagine how it will be with 10k, or 20k.

Lol. I just realized I wrote all that on a discarded video. [sigh] No one will see it...
