Lions across South Africa have long been used to roaming the savannah as they pleased. With highways and fences now isolating them, genetic diversity is threatened. A South African scientist has found a novel way to ensure biodiversity in the species.

Yes, the part where the lion got shot w/ a dart made me cringe. I'll have to watch it again for the part you mentioned about what the narrator said, though.
