Jazz in swedish: Visa från Utanmyra by Jan Johansson

"Jazz på svenska" (Jazz in swedish) was pianist Jan Johansson's monumental 1964 release which is perhaps the single album that has had most influence on scandinavian jazz ever since. On it, Johansson together with bassist Georg Riedel performed jazzed up, yet very toned down versions of old swedish folk songs. "Visa från Utanmyra" (Tune from Utanmyra) is the best known cut from this album.

The photos are taken by the uploader, and provide a good moody backdrop to this haunting music.
