Iraq war costs: $10 billion/mo, & almost $500 billion so far

Remember when Rumsfeld said the war would only cost $50 billion? Five years later, the true figure is about ten times higher. At least we have cheap gas and a strong economy because of it, right?

no mention of the $billions lost in the purported "aid" that went "missing" upon shipment; nor the $billions spent on military contractors or the expended military equipment & supplies; to say nothing of the $billions estimated in the costs of veterans care expected to last well into the 2050s
