Why aren't heads rolling? No one ever seems to be held to account in this administration. Where are the impeachment proceedings and court martial hearings? All we get nowadays is "yeah, we fucked up, what are you gonna do?"

No one is handing out weapons to the enemy. Soldiers are stealing them, keeping them for souvenirs. Go ahead ask any one who's been there in the past two years and I'll bet you they can name one guy at least who shipped home a M-16 for a keepsake.

So your saying that our troops have illegally sent back home hundreds of thousands of AK-47s, Glocks and other various weapons and ammunition for their personal collections and everyone is keeping hush-hush about it? Talk about your looney conspiracy theories!!

Well let's see... Who on the Sift has been there? ME!

The answer: No. ESPECIALLY not M-16s and other American arms.
You might sound more believable if you said AK-47s, AK-74s and such.
I had to jump through hoops just to be allowed to take a bayonet home that I took from a man that came on base.
NO ONE is getting firearms home. War trophies are a BIG no-no.

No, but it's the military's job to police the airways, which they are normally very good at but were sent on massive training exercises that day.

Pilots know full well how quicky the military normally responds with fighter jets in flight emergencies like hijackings. The response from Cheney in the bunker under the Pentagon that day when asked by a concerned airman: "They are 50..30..10 miles out, does the order still stand?" ... Cheney: "Have you heard anything different?!" completely exemplifies the situation that day.
