Kruposays...I didn't realize, until these vids came along, that the order booth was using CB channels. Of course, I guess that's much easier than running a cable from the parking lot into the restaurant. Heh, woops.
dgandhisays...If they would run the whole order-board off 12-24VDC they could just run a single flooded cat5 underground and have a hard connection+power(without running AC,or having AC interference). Using RF for this seems like it provides no benefit at all, except to hackers.

actually this wouldn't be a cb frequency. he has to replace the crystal to change the frequency range of the cb radio. the yaseu he refers to is a 2M/6M radio. not sure on the exact frequencies though. one of the images he used here was taken from a website i work for. i actually put the watermark on the image, the thieving bastard.
cheesemoosays...I don't think they're saying that the RF connection is between the outside speaker and the inside - that's probably wired. The employees' headsets are wireless though, and apparently they operate near CB frequencies.
