How Hollywood does a "freak wave" - Perfect Storm end scene

There's been some real-life "rogue waves" / "freak waves" sifts, so here's the way Hollywood imagined one in the George Clooney / Mark Walhberg movie "The Perfect Storm". The movie showed the events behind a collision of three giant storm systems off the Atlantic coast, and was centred on a crew of a lost fishing boat. A drama, not a documentary, it projected how the crew might have interacted in their final days and moments.

There is no evidence that their vessel was hit by such a wave, but it makes for some high on-the-seas drama.

Animation tagged for the ocean CGI.
