cheesemoosays...Meh. Much as I don't like Fox, I couldn't work up any outrage over this. It seemed obvious from the clip Fox showed that he was just playing along with Colbert. Maybe that's just because I'm familiar with the Report.
HadouKen24says...Heh, as pointed out in the video, Colbert was purposely trying to provoke this kind of response. It's common knowledge (or should be) that news organizations do this kind of thing all the time. Colbert's use of it makes the whole thing hilariously ironic. To get outraged is to miss the point. Instead, point your finger and laugh.
Not only is it more fun, but it's a hell of a lot more damaging to Fox News. As C.S. Lewis pointed out, among others, many are the men who will stand firm in the face of criticism and denunciation, but who would crumple if mocked. (Not a direct quote)
9619says...down vote for infuriatingly meandering intonation of narrative. Downvote own comment for overly flowery description of downvote
dw1117says...Good God this guys narrative voice sounds like a retard reading a kids book.
Nice content, but TERRIBLE editing.
ashes2flamessays...I'm surprised Fox didn't just edit out Colbert altogether so it looked like Wexler was just saying this stuff on his own.
dooglesays...Is it fair to have the title "How Colbert Baited Fox News"
Did he really 'bait Fox news'?
Having the congressman say questionable sentences is one thing,
baiting Fox news to take a trap is another...
Fedquipsays...yeah, he coached wexler into saying something that he most likely knew would be played later on another network. Fox took the bait.
