Bah, they never really had credibility.

Seriously though - why didn't you like this album? It was an all-time classic piece of art.

Abysmal.

I'm not talking about politics or strategy or marketing - I'm talking about it's coherence as a complete album. One of the top albums of its year.

Am sure 'American Idiot' will become one of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame greatest classics.

I believe you are giving a corporate marketed, researched, and strategized album release too much credit.

At least they wrote their own songs and played their own instruments, unlike the Monkees...
