Voted best music video in the 1983 Austin Chronicle Music Poll, the song "Gomer Pyle is God" was never actually available in any format other than video, no vinyl version was ever produced. The song was written by Jim Kanan (drummer in the band), and the artwork produced by Joe McDemott, who also played in the band. The video was shot in various locations around Austin, Texas.
