Glow-in-the-dark cats -- not a dupe

From YT poster: "Experts in South Korea have manipulated a fluorescent protein gene in the kitties to make them glow-in-the-dark. Freaky! This procedure could help develop cures for genetic diseases in humans."

this is a longer version of the video, with english narration and explanation so i don't think it counts as a dupe...

i wonder, does it make it hard for the cats to sleep? they didn't look freaked out by it. also, i was way more creeped out by the shot of all three cloned cats together. i was surprised that i had a kind of queasy gut-reaction to the clones; cats look pretty similar anyway.

That is awesome. Of course they have no idea about the ramifications of this and I've watched just enough sci-fi to start thinking this is the end of the world as we know it.

oh yeah of course this research will be used to cure diseases and better humanity, no way it'd ever be used just for engineering bigger dicks and perfect boobs for society's wealthy elite, nope, no way.
