This segment was always a favorite-Featured through the many seasons of this show were a few come to mind, the Selmer factory, making saxophones, crayon mnfg,, the giant mining trucks.....whoaaa!

Fred Rogers was such an amazing person.
The man is pretty much spottless. His dedication to helping children learn to deal with life, emotions, and such was just amazing. I get all misty-eyed when I watch the video where he testified to congress way back in, I think the late 60s or early 70s about getting more funding for public television.

so true, sometimes. My kids have recently fell in love w/ the guy. Since they're into Star Wars, Dr Who, Avatar and playing Halo I thought they wouldn't be interested. They don't remember seeing him when they were tiny. I DVRed a few shows a month or so ago. I was so wrong! They loved them and record his reruns daily.

It doesn't matter who you are or how old you are, there's just something about Mister Rogers that draws you in.
