Inspired to re-post by farhad's wonderful Son of Sam posting.

Elliott in 1996, just before he became famous as a result of Good Will Hunting, before the long alcohol and heroin decline, before he killed himself or was stabbed in the heart by someone else.

Elliott Smith is awesome. Anyone who can stab themselves in the heart *twice* gets an upvote.

In all seriousness though, Smith is awesome. Love his music. One of the few artists I actually respect and listen to religiously.
