eventualentropysays...I don't really buy this argument. They say less money is kept in Canada, but for a lot of third world countries their food exports are what is keeping them afloat, so is that such a bad thing?
Also there's a reason that market forces don't lead to growing locally: Because it's less efficient. Transporting food from each individual farm costs too much in comparison. If you actually sit down and calculate all the fuel that is burned when getting local food (between both farmer and consumer) you see how any environmental argument for this falls apart rather quickly.
