Easily the best Star Trek Episode ever: the inner light

Even if you never saw a single episode of the show, you will love this. The crew stumbles upon a mysterious space probe that possesses the captain's mind, who is sent to another world where he lives an entire life on a planet learning to live a life he would have otherwise have never had. It's never preachy, and the development of character and story in a 45 minute episode is phenomenal. I also finally have a use for the timeshift channel!
