Early Betty Boop - "Mysterious Mose" - bafflingly odd

Seriously bizarre old animation featuring an early version of what would eventually become Betty Boop. In this she is a proto-dog person, who sings about "Mysterious Mose". Nothing makes sense in this at all.

That was brilliant. You have to keep in mind while watching it that most of the different effects and expressions that they used would have been invented and used for the first time in this cartoon. Those effects may have become cliché now, but this would have been revolutionary at the time and it plays as a comedy when you can watch it from that point of view.
