ESPN Hissy Fit: When two sports journalists hate each other

From uploader: "Watching ESPN uber-professionals Sean Salisbury and John Clayton devolve from obligatory journalistic opposition to actual, obvious hatred of one another in every "Four Downs" segment is always entertaining, but this past week, with the offseason looming, Salisbury turned to a certain deranged, pun-cracking host puppet for one last glorious, season-ending insult. How long do you think he's been waiting for this moment? Since the first minute he met John Clayton, or since the minute he first saw "Tales From The Crypt" and knew he'd eventually meet a nerd who loosely approximated the Keeper's profile?"

It's kind of sad when we hold our sports 'journalists' to a higher standard than our political 'journalists'. If this exchange had taken place on cable news between political pundits it wouldn't even be noteworthy.

Maybe that's why Olbermann has had so much success breaking into a field populated by amateurs and wannabes.

It's a funny clip all the same.

Of course, something to note here is that Salisbury has since been fired by ESPN [source: USA Today]. Rumor is that this incident contributed to it, as well as other incidents which have not been substantiated but range from sexual harassment to worse offenses, depending on which sports rumor site you read.

OMFG "crypt keeper", lol, he had that one ready in reserve. That's too clever to be an off the cuff remark.
