Quboidsays...I haven't been impressed by TYT recently, they've seemed more interested in being proven right than reporting the news. However, they nail it here. What the Democrats and the Republicans say about an issue is important but dammit, then look into it, do the research that 99% of people don't have the time or expertise to do and tell us how it actually is.
Not that that would make me trust them much more, in fact I'd probably trust them less. To take an extreme example, would you, dear Sifter, trust Fox News if they said "Obama says Obamacare does this, Romney says it does that - we've looked into it and this is the truth: yada yada yada". I wouldn't trust their research into it because as Cenk says, I expect them to be biased. I would expect their research to conveniently re-enforce their position.
