Daisuke Matsuzaka's mysterious "Gyro Ball" pitch

Attempting to explain the Gyro ball, or Miracle Ball. Daisuke Matsuzaka, who plays for the Boston Red Sox, won't officially comment on what this mysterious pitch actually is. Although some have speculated that the pitch behaves like a failed slider.

Fascinating look at Dice-K's mysterious pitch. I can't wait to see if it works in the MLB. The 'Major League' sound bites towards the end are priceless.

But I don't think Matsuzaka is going to win 20 games this year, but I also think that he won't suffer from Chan Ho Park syndrome.

Got a bud who was a pitcher in high-school..he had a slider that wass unpredictable, in that it did what a slider was supposed to until just before the plate, where it was a toss-up as to which way it would move...but if you got a piece of it, you could hand him his ass.....He pitched a near no-hitter up until the 10th inning, when he went against his catchers signals, and gave their star batter an inside fastball with bases loaded.......(*insert cracking bat and opposing cheers sound here)

Sigh, This is actually pretty impressive... However, even with it's impressiveness baseball still seems to make it utterly boring. Good try I guess. (Still Up-Voted for the Impressiveness )
