so is everything that is an advertisement/commercial automatically a viral?

i was wondering the same thing. I think we need to better define what constitutes a viral ad. I don't think professionally made commercials shown on TV really count.

Yeah, I'm wondering... Commercials shown on TV with the product being obviously shown don't really seem like virals to me. In fact, the Will It Blend videos also aren't virals in my opinion since they clearly show the product they're trying to sell and what it does and does well.

Then again, maybe the 'viral' in videosift has a different meaning altogether as a channel name. Still misleading I think.

Yeah...I don't suppose it's really viral...though it seemed like it had sort of a viral effect back in the day.

(I've gone ahead and removed the viral tag...so the above comments might make a little less sense now).
