Cyd Charisse was a classically trained ballet dancer who made a name for herself dancing with the likes of Gene Kelley and Fred Astaire in the movies. Never an actress, always a dancer, always graceful and powerful, Charisse was a unique part of movie history that has rarely been emulated and never been duplicated. She passed away this week.
