Creepy Oobleck Effect

I think most of us played around with this stuff as a kid at some point. This dude, however, takes my childhood playtime and makes it feel more like SCIENCE!

Mixing cornstarch and water makes a non-Newtonian fluid commonly called 'oobleck'. Due to it dilatant properties, its viscosity increases in proportion to its shear (angular velocity). This makes a fluid which can be torn, or even broken, when the correct force is applied to it.

...it also makes freaking cool videos, apparently.
