I never did like history. I say just abolish it and cultivate national amnesia.

I wonder if digital publishing and ereaders might help solve this problem. Colbert doesn't go into it, but it seems like one reason Texas has such power is because it is expensive to print books in limited runs. At any rate, I guess this is why my kids' schools don't use many text books.
