Chris Matthews: My JOB Is To Make Obama a Success

Well at least the left comes out and says they don't know how to do their jobs and that they're biased. Better than playing pretend.

Well, I guess if you don't like it here you can always move somewhere else.

Right?

Or do you really hate America that much?

One more, without an ode to a clown....

Matthews...must stay on television. Of course, that's the heroin of his life.

"Tweety" said so many horse-shit Captain Clown bullshit things over the past eight (8) years of travesty...that I don't really know where to put the guy.

If he'd spoken the truth two, four years ago, he wouldn't be on TV now.

That's obvious, to me.

Maher got punted from one network and lucked out and landed on another.

Rosie O'Donnell...god bless that woman...heated things up and got booted.

I know that the success of America, and the world at large, does not depend on a bunch of fucking rich assholes who are jealous of each other's yachts.

But you would think that knowing that some of this latest $700,000,000,000+ bailout was going for fucking bonuses.

Bonuses. Who will remember that?

America is a pretty damn good country if you give its people a chance and a fair shake.

Not sure how we got to hating America, but you're the one who fabricated it. Your logic is getting worse these days rather than better. I loikes my America, maybe you don't?

Says the man with the profile stating, "Trying very hard to get out of America and move to a free country."

I find it curious that so many people read this as a confession of bias.

I wanted Bush to be a success too -- but he was a screaming roaring failure, and no amount of criticism ever seemed to get him to realize that, nor the people who kept supporting him even after he drove the country off a cliff, then set the country on fire.

Part of helping a President succeed is a critical press that honestly tries to shine light on the potential benefits and pitfalls of their policy. What doesn't help is an uncritical press (e.g. Fox News), or a press determined to create or accelerate a downfall of the other party (Everyone on Fox and to some degree, Olbermann).

The press should be there to keep people honest, but they should have the aim of helping the country's leadership lead well. Bush was resistant to the process, and while it remains to be seen how Obama responds to it, I think he will listen to well-reasoned criticism.

BTW, talking about how tax cuts for the middle class are <scary voice>SOCIALISM</scary voice>, that ends your "well-reasoned" tag. So does talking about suspicion of him being Muslim (hint: he's not), a secret terrorist (he's not), or suspecting he was really born in Kenya (he wasn't).

If you want to raise questions about whether we should bail out GM or not, go to town -- I'm still up in the air on that one myself -- but let's not be part of the lunatic fringe that wants to just character assassinate him, or anyone who supports him.
