Carving a UCSC Cyberslug into a pumpkin with a laser cutter

The University of California, Santa Cruz has a banana slug as its mascot, and the School of Engineering has a Cyberslug as its personal mascot. So of course, the robotics folks used their laser cutter (for making prototypes) to carve a Cyberslug pumpkin. Pretty damn cool, even if I am a slugette and thus prejudiced (though I neither cut the pumpkin, nor the video, so I'm hoping this isn't a self-link).

Music is Lunar, The Unknown.

Gabriel Elkaim is the guy who teaches the Mechatronics and Control classes and who got the laser cutter for the use of the students. (He also recently got married and had all of the place cards for the seating at the wedding dinner carved into miniature pumpkins: he's THAT geeky.)
