Candle powered radio

A delightful little device that runs a radio using the heat from two tea candles which creates a thermal gradient across a thermoelectric generator, producing electricity. This is how the most distant object in the cosmos created by humans, the Voyager spacecraft, still operate to this day. Funny, I never thought of using a peltier like that, my only exposure to them has been in applications where electricity is applied to produce the thermal gradient, not the other way around. I have to admit, I feel a bit stupid that that didn't occur to me. Good post.
