CAPE FEAR-a modern example of film noir

The 90's version of the classic thriller. Film noir creates scenes like these that are meant to make the audience uncomfortable. here are some that stand out.
this was such a good film.

Aah, Sideshow Bob deNiro!!

I don't think that Americans really understand how vastly diverse film can be until we watch foreign films.

I think that film noir was born in Hollywood with detective flicks, but it borrows heavily from German films, many from the silent era.

America makes some great movies, no doubt, but if you want depth and surprise, you almost always have to look overseas.

And I have to say that the best, most thought-provoking films that I've seen in the last twenty years came from France.
