Keith reports on the Occupy Wall Street movement and the reaction after the police raids last night. Reports of up to 35,000 people on the streets of NYC tonight. Maybe Bloomberg should have left them alone.

They were languishing in the park, if they'd been left alone from day 1 they probably would have dispersed as boredom set in by now. Fighting them only validates them and makes their position stronger, but the moneyed interests are too stupid to realise that.

I think this movement is perceived largely as capable of making an actual change, and coming on the heels of the Arab Spring events I think there's a large amount of paranoia by both civil and economic authorities. I believe fear overrules any intelligence they might have previously had.
