"The Bloodbath of B-R5RB or Battle of B-R5RB was a massive-scale virtual battle fought in the MMORPG space game EVE Online, and was possibly the largest player versus player battle ever. Pitting the Clusterfuck Coalition (CFC) and Russian alliances (CFC/Rus) against N3 and Pandemic Legion (N3/PL), the 21 hour long conflict involved over 7,548 player characters overall and a maximum of 2,670 players in the B-R5RB system at one time. The in-game cost of the losses totalled over 11 trillion InterStellar Kredit (ISK), a theoretical real-world value of $300,000 to $330,000 USD."

I play this game (since 2005) but I missed out on this battle :( !!!

Eve online can be heart breaking but it is the best mmo you will ever play.

To give some context to the video, the largest vessels (titans) are city size ships that take months to build. The smaller ones are battleship size, and the frigate size ones are not really visible in the panned out shots. When a ship is destroyed its gone. Permadeath ship loss. Because your loss is "real" is it very common for PvPs to get the "shakes" during and after combat from the rush.

-forgot to mention - this all escalated from someone forgetting to pay rent for the system during a war, leaving its sovereignty open for contention.

-the huge bubbles are devices deployed to prevent ships from warping off.
