rougyI really hate gambling, but I agree with Frank.
Back in the late 80s and early 90s, there was a push to get legalized gambling in Colorado. I voted for it, but after seeing what it did to the place, I wish I wouldn't have.
Legalized gambling is kind of like a legalized mafia.

jwrayGorgonheap, neither of those points, even if they were true, would be relevant to whether or not it should be outlawed.
Besides, the Netherlands has a higher life expectancy than the US, higher median standardized test scores than the US, and arguably higher median standard of living than the US despite legalized gambling, prostitution, drugs, gay rights, euthanasia, etc.
Not that it matters.
