The keeper had a shot at the ball around midfield... he had no shot to get back to the goal. He should have booted that thing out of bounds and high-tailed it back.

Don't want to sound like a smartass, but that was a last ditch effort to equalize the match, hence why after he scores you can hear the full time whistle.
