Aloha 243 - One Incredibly Lucky Plane

Aloha Airlines flight 243 arriving after its emergency landing. The plane suffered an amazing amount of damage via explosive decompression for how it managed to stay intact - the entire roof area of first class ripped off. One flight attendant died in the accident, but the rest of the passengers and crew survived.

There are photos and ATC tapes here,
but be warned it covers some potentially grisly details about the fate of the attendant who did not make it.

The accident happened due to the continual short-hop compression cycles and the corrosive salt-water air weakening the airframe on an already aged plane.
