Dr. George, as he is affectionately known, was in town to be honored with a plaque on Albuquerque's brand new Wall of Fame. The former Duke City teacher and retired Los Angeles weatherman started his television career at KNME-TV as a host of a children's science program.

If you grew up in NM in the 50s/60s or Southern Calif in the 70s/80s you know what a great man and a great teacher Dr George is. The world would be a better place with more teachers like this. *promote
