What does it do?? It rips limbs off and turns what was a man into an unrecognizable disgusting mess.

I don't think anyone is naive about what a 30mm gun does to enemies on the ground. It's just that no one wants to see the results - war is grotesque. But if you're asking where we draw the line, a 30mm round is probably a lot quicker death (read: more humane) than shooting someone with a 5.56 (standard round for the m4). A better question to ask would be "why war" instead of getting into the specifics of what a weapon does. Weapons like this are not considered cruel in nature by Geneva Conventions or the International Criminal Court.

NOW - the funny thing is that you and others with your views are the ones always bitching about the casualties in Iraq - American and Iraqi - so if the enemy that we're fighting now supposedly can't fight back as you say - why are there casualties?

Here's the word from the FAQ on the snuff subject:

So you technically don't have to have a person present in the video for it to be snuff by Videosift standards, but I think this might be a bit of a stretch. I personally see that as more of a protection against videos where someone is actually being killed on camera, or you are positive someone has been killed. If we start getting carried away on enforcement of what might have been happening with no information, there are a lot of potential snuff videos on here.
