geo321Now the liability is limited to 75 million overall for corporations towards the so called secondary effected. Like fisherman, waterfront hotels, etc.
NetRunner@geo321, they're going to try to pass legislation that ups that to something more like $10 billion. I think if they're going to set a cap, it should also be indexed to inflation, but then I don't see why there needs to be a cap at all...
geo321While I want that to go thru, what is it called..The Anti oil company bailout or something. I know I'm cynical but it looks like a senator posturing for the moment. Both the Democrats and republicans will most likely fire that bill down if it comes to a vote. The senators get way too much money from oil to allow anything like that to go thru.
