As much as I agree with this:
1) Cite your sources. A talking youtube head isn't going to change any minds, and spouting sourceless numbers and graphs is no different than any media-related coverage that skeptics already don't believe.
2) Don't parody the other side of the conversation. Dressing and talking like a douchebag and putting on the smarmy tone will just insult the people you would otherwise hope to change perspectives.

I get so sick of videos like this. They think they're doing the internet a favor and bringing some sort of truth, but they're just as shortsighted as anyone else.

^ ^ ^ I agree, but it's getting frustrating. The anti's are religiously adamant and they have no problem finding sources to cite. Local radio show here just said that we're in a cooling phase now and Antarctic ice has actually increased while arctic decreased... I'm worn out.

Why do we have to listen to small minority on this anymore? They had their chance of refuting, they failed. We wont ever agree on everything anyway, that hasn't stopped us for making new rules that affect everyone. AGW supporters are overwhelmingly the majority. And don't start Godwining me, i'm talking about democratic process where majority rules.

Have you tried getting a law through congress lately?

I think that's pretty much it. The money going into these Republicans to hold up legislation is enough to keep them rooted in their seats. The same money more than likely keeps the media doing just enough to convince their respective constituents as well, so they won't get voted out anytime soon. Ignorance is the kryptonite of progress.

And @Enzoblue: I completely understand the frustration, but even if the facts are correct, in practice this kind of presentation is no better than fox news. It makes people who agree with it feel justified and superior in their beliefs, but it does nothing for converting the non-believers to understanding, which is inarguably precisely what we need to be doing.
