Missouri Dem party tracker gets assaulted at GOP rally
I would have said:
"Touch me again and I'm going to ruin that nice suit."
This is when I want a constitution to smash over some ones head.

Creepy Self Help: "Tell people about your dreams"
2:10... "I want people to touch me" ... is just... too much. It's just life, folks.
Sonseed - "Jesus is my friend"
Jesus touched me down inside ... he always gets his man ... he loves me when I waste my time by writing silly songs.
Jesus ska, now I've seen it all.

i saw brokeback at home, and it actually caused me to go into a major depressive episode. thankfully it didn't last too long and i found a website where other people were going through similar reactions, that helped a lot (and made me feel like slightly less of a total FREAK). it seems a little weird to look back on now, to have had such a strong emotional response to a fictitious movie, but it's nice to know i wasn't alone in feeling that way.
i have seen as many love stories / tragedies as anyone else, some of them gay, but there is something about this one that really slaughtered me. perhaps it's just the combination of great storytelling, directing, acting etc, or perhaps it's something else, i could never quite decide.
heath ledger's death brought it all back again, the timing was eerie, i had been planning on posting a brokeback clip for a little while, approaching gold... then that happened just as i was on 49! i had never given the guy a moment's thought before brokeback, but quickly realised he was going to be one of the 'greats' of this generation. i know all life is valuable, but i do feel sad that i don't get to enjoy seeing what he would've done.
oh god i'm raving on already! don't get me started!

I have to say, I loved your "long, boring summary" of this. I went to watch it with my best friend. We got out of the cinema and he was very quiet, I was chatting away, just an unbelievable film, one of the most tragic love stories ever told. And we got to the car and he just sobbed and sobbed. It touched him so much. Of course it didn't touch me in the same way, although there are plenty of love stories that do, but it was so nice, because finally someone had told a proper story about real love between two men. Anyway, i'll try and find an embed for it if you haven't got round to it. Just thought i'd share that with you, as what you wrote made me think of it and i'm sure you got a similar experience as he had

Who says Christians can't rock out.....

Once I tried to run,
I tried to run and hide,
But Jesus came and found me,
And he touched me down inside.
Did you at least call the cops? "Okay, son, where did Jesus touch you?"
I heard the lyrics and thought - Michael Jackson tried that and got nearly sent to prison for that

What happened before Code Pink was Hit? Here it is.
This video did not come out first. So we got it after.
Payback you are wrong, the officer violated his authority.
The cops did wrong here, they fucked up a simple snatch and grab.
They gave up tactical advantage by entering the crowd.
The crowd moved into the street after they began the arrest.
Just arrest her, do not strike her.
Do not strike any one, just arrest them, that's how it should be done and that's how they trained us.
The officer in charge put the lives of his men and the lives of civilians in danger by adding a mixture: of outnumbered cops, angry protesters, and questionable arrests.
Do not be fooled into thinking that an officer of the law is above the law, they are not. Simply touching an officer does not warrant an arrest. It is not assault unless that person has aggressively acted on the officer, that means a grab, punch, slap, push etc.
If I would have detained half the citizens that touched me I would have still be doing the paperwork on them.

Buddy Holly - The Day The Music Died- American Pie
Verse 1
A long long time ago
I can still remember how that music used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
But something touched me deep inside
The day the music died
So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my chevy to the levee
But the levee was dry
And them good old boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die
Verse 2
Did you write the Book of Love
And do you have faith in God above
If the Bible tells you so
Do you believe in rock n' roll
Can music save your mortal soul
And can you teach me how to dance real slow
Well, I know that you're in love with him
'Cause I saw you dancin' in the gym
You both kicked off your shoes
Man, I dig those rhythm & blues
I was a lonely, teenage broncin' buck
With a pink carnation and a pickup truck
But I knew I was out of luck
The day the music died
I started singin'
Verse 3
Now for ten years we've been on our own
And moss grows fat on a rollin' stone
But that's not how it used to be
When the Jester sang for the King and Queen
In a coat he borrowed from James Dean
In a voice that came from you and me
Oh, and while the King was looking down
The Jester stole his thorny crown
The courtroom was adjourned
No verdict was returned
And while Lenin read a book on Marx
The quartet practiced in the park
And we sang dirges in the dark
The day the music died
We were singin'
Verse 4
Helter Skelter in a summer swelter
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter
Eight miles high and falling fast
It landed foul on the grass
The players tried for a forward pass
With the Jester on the sidelines in a cast
Now the half-time air was sweet perfume
While the Sergeants played a marching tune
We all got up to dance
Oh but we never got the chance
'Cause the players tried to take the field
The marching band refused to yield
Do you recall what was revealed
The day the music died
We started singing
Verse 5
Oh, and there we were, all in one place
A generation lost in space
With no time left to start again
So come on, Jack, be nimble, Jack be quick
Jack Flash sat on a candlestick
'Cause fire is the devils only friend
Oh, and as I watched him on the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage
No angel born in Hell
Could break that Satan's spell
And as flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite
I saw Satan laughing with delight
The day the music died
He was singing
Verse 6
I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news
But she just smiled and turned away
I went down to the sacred store
Where I'd heard the music years before
But the man there said the music wouldn't play
And in the streets the children screamed
The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed
But not a word was spoken
The church bells all were broken
And the three men I admire most
The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost
They caught the last train for the coast
The day the music died
And they were singin'
Bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my chevy to the levy
But the levy was dry
And them good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye
Singing this'll be the day that I die
They were singin'
Bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my chevy to the levy
But the levy was dry
And them good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye
Singing this'll be the day that I die
He-man on sexual harassment
Wow, that was real? I'd let She-Ra touch me *that* way.
New Orleans SiftUp (Sift Talk Post)
...reading glasses, suit and tie, physicists convention...I'd say the bearded gentleman is our wonderful mycroft. The guy on the right seems to be wearing attire befitting of a man going out in his own hometown (maybe to visit a cougar bar after the rendezvous). He also has a "welcome to New Orleans" embrace on who I believe is mycroft, while mycroft seems to be pulling away in some sort of anti-social "don't touch me, I'll have to wash my hands 20 times" type of OCD befitting of an anal physicist. Pictures are worth a thousand...um...letter thingies.
Celtic Woman - Ave Maria
Her voice fails to touch me for some reason. My personal favourite of Ave Maria is Schuberts Ave Maria sung by Andrea Bocelli, which I just HAD to post here http://www.videosift.com/video/Schuberts-Ave-Maria-sung-by-Andrea-Bocelli , has moved me to tears more than once.
