Little Guy Just Wants To Merge With A Templar

Thomas Edison Electrocutes An Elephant (1903)

Aleister crowley-without walls-documentary part 1

enoch says...

try don milo duqette qwiz.
his books on crowley, the golden dawn, enochian magick and the knights templar are fantastic reads (if your a geek like me).he also happens to be a nice guy (met him a few years back..ooo i'm such a lil name dropper).

lets remember that there are 4500 religions on the planet and the ones you are referring to are the abrahamic.
it is easier when you break them down into "eastern" and "western" theologies.western being predominantly the judau/christian/islam.

now as for the "do as thou whilt".that can easily be transcribed as "do unto others",different idioms with similar intentions and can be found in all religions in one form or another.it is the church that focuses on the subservience while the actual teachings of say jesus or mohamhed tend to be much more open in their interpretations.

Happy 154th birthday, Nikola Tesla!

NetRunner says...

For those of you who follow the Assassin's Creed storyline, Thomas Edison wasn't just an asshole, he was a Templar. They had Tesla killed because he was working on a power plant to provide the world with free electricity -- and the Templars didn't want that at all.

They wanted a worldwide commercial empire that everyone was beholden to...

E3 Trailer - Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Deus Ex:Human Revolution E3 Trailer

Asmo says...

The original Deus Ex borrowed heavily from pretty much every significant conspiricy theory mythos alive (the Illuminati, the Majestic 12, Area 51, the Templars etc). What does it matter if the final product is good?

Bush Wipes Hand on Clinton's Shirt After Greeting Haitians

Kevlar says...

>> ^blankfist:

^I don't care if he tapped Clinton on the shoulder or not. In my mind it's funnier if he wiped his hands on him, so that's what I'll remember. Truth has no place when comedy is afoot!!!

It's even funnier in the 'unedited' BBC video where you see him do the little peek-a-boo finger wave at everyone, like his name is Thelma and he's trying delicately to acknowledge his girlfriends while blowing on his freshly-painted fingernails wrapped around a Corona at the Albuquerque 37th Annual Chili Cook-Off.

Goddamnit, Presidents should always wave like the stoic Templar in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

What Are Your Top 5 Books? (Books Talk Post)

Ornthoron says...

Kurt Vonnegut jr. is indeed the master. It's hard to pick just five, so this list might be a little random, but here are five books I have enjoyed immensely:

1. Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut jr.
2. 1984 by George Orwell
3. Catch 22 by Joseph Heller
4. Mengele Zoo by Gert Nygårdshaug
5. The Brothers Karamasov by Fjodor Dostojevskij

I especially like the religious themes in Cat's Cradle; that's why I picked it out to be on the list. But I have yet to read a Vonnegut book I didn't like, so many others could be there as well.

I really recommend Mengele Zoo to anyone who hasn't heard of it. It paints a horrible picture of the exploitation of South America, and has a main character you instantly fall in love with.

What the heck, I'll throw in a few more:
Everything by Tolkien, the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin, The Eyes of the Dragon and the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, The Knights Templar series by Jan Guillou.

"Fair and Balanced" Teaser from Sean Hannity

Memorare says...

from wikipedia - In 2004 genealogists discovered that George W. Bush and John Kerry shared a common ancestral couple in the 1500s, making them ninth cousins twice removed. Also in 2007 it was revealed that Dick Cheney and Barack Obama are eighth cousins.

500 years ago 1 common couple, bah, not the Knights Templar / Jesus and Mary Magdalene conspiracy shocker i was hoping for!
Likely >50% of everyone on this site is within 8th-11th cousins of each other, 2-3x removed.

It's not so mysterious, like everyone else the wealthy ruling elite tend to breed within their own peer group and pass on the greed & goodies & power to the kiddies, just as trailer park trash and junkies would likely find that their ancestors were scofflaws and ne'erdowells 500 years ago and passed on those traits to the present generation.

Of course pouring over ancient tomes and speculating on the genealogy of the AntiChrist is far more interesting. You know you wanna know!

How many arbiters do you see?

jwray says...

the protoss unit called high templar has a spell that creates a fake copy of a unit -- the copy doesn't have any abilities or do any damage but it looks exactly like the real thing. The terran player had lots of missile turrets and goliaths to guard against arbiters but he couldn't know which ones were real and which ones were fakes. The real arbiters used a spell called recall to teleport a lot of units into the terran base.

11th Hour - Documentary Trailer

jonny says...

The reason to worry is because it is a matter of degrees (no pun intended). We are at a point where it is very likely inevitable that many of the lowest lying inhabited lands will be below sea level within decades. The question is, how far do we let it go?

To be honest, I'm generally of the opinion that any "damage" humans have caused over the last century or two is not going to get "fixed" in the next decade or two, no matter how hard we try. But it's not about "fixing" the whole thing - it's about mitigating the future costs to humanity, whether those costs are directly counted in human lives, national economies, or the size of your children's backyard.

I am continually amazed by those who claim all the human-induced climate change science is bunk and/or propaganda. The implication would seem to be a world-wide conspiracy being conducted by thousands of scientists, economists, politicians, activists, etc. I mean, why not just come right out and say it - the Knights Templar and the Zionists are behind the whole thing right? They've been running the world for 2000+ years, and will continue to do so no matter what we do. When they need to shift the world economy in a particular direction, they dream up crazy things like the cold war, moon landings, global warming.

The choice we have before us is one of resource allocation. We've done a crap job of it so far - should we continue to do so because it's convenient to "our way of life"?

And here's the question I can't get out of my head... If the USA's dependence on "foreign oil" is such a major risk to national security, why are we providing tax subsidies to companies that are willing to do business with the likes of Chavez, Putin, and the Saudi royal family? Does that make sense? Should we not be providing that kind of support to companies that operate solely in the interests of the United States?

just a thought....
