Ayn Coulter backs Ron Paul for 2012

marbles says...

Ayn? LOL Subliminal message or Freudian slip?

air-date? early 2009?

She was being a bit facetious. Not that Palin, Perry, and the rest of them don't try to position themselves as some type of libertarian, so of course a partisan talking head is going to try to pretend she's a libertarian too, especially right after her "side" got their asses handing to them in the recent election.
She was also assuming the "War would be over" (as per Obama rhetoric). How was she to know the global bankers own BOTH parties and the war machine was only getting started?

Also the question wasn't "Who do you back in 2012?", it was "Who is the leading candidate for the Republicans in 2012?"
And for once, she was spot on.

I've never quite understood why fundamentalists look for obscure evil (satanic cults, subliminal messages, democrats, etc.) when there's plenty of obvious evil (slavery, child molestation, dire poverty etc.) in the world. Maybe because it's cheaper and more pleasant to fight imaginary evil on youtube than to actually show up at a soup kitchen?

WELL... if she's 100% with the NRA, then I guess that means she's automatically a super competent and honest politician!
Thank you GOP... Thank you for being so awesomely embarrassing.

I also love how at 15 seconds in, the guy describes her has a "pretty fair shot", just as they show her pretty face. Amazing subliminal messaging (although, yeah, she is somewhat attractive. I'm thinking Sarah Palin minus 15 years on her back, but with all the stupidity).

Giant Mother Garage Spider

I'm not certain, but fairly sure, there is spider subliminal messaging going on near the end of the video. Between 3:15 - 3:17, 3:25 - 3:26, 3:43 - 3:44, and one more time from 4:10 - 4:11.

I have to give it up for Fox though, the amount of subliminal messages in the Jesus lover versus rabid liberal is amazing. Look at the detail:

The guy on the left has "Jesus", a cross, and the American flag clearly visible. Look at how he's seemingly being backed into a corner with less half the width of the shot and smiling.

Look at how he's backed by white and wearing white, whereas the liberal lady is wearing black and has presumably a dark railing in the background. Look at the other person in the background behind her, I would almost wager to say that because I can't even tell if it's a guy or a girl, they're hinting at them being lesbians to incense their conservative audience.

Have to give credit where credit is due, that is nothing short of brilliant in scope.

Saturday morning cartoons taught you collectivism! (Politics Talk Post)

Kreegath says...

Grownups read way too much into cartoons and put way too much stock in whatever hidden or subliminal message they perceive in them. These things are incredibly subjective, and I'm sure there are people who are lobbying against the evil propaganda put forth in the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon, only that they see a completely different message. It might even be a directly contradictory one to this writer's. That's not to say there's no value in analyzing stuff like this, but there's a big difference between a discussion on the theoretical influences in a cartoon and the practical, real world effects on people who watch it.

But people tend to forget that kids don't perceive and experience things the same way as adults. Most themes and philosophical standpoints will go right over their heads; but for arguments sake, let's say that the cartoon was trying to teach collectivism to its viewers. It would have to be done much more obviously before a child would pick up on the message, more prevalent for that child to start associate the theme with reality and for a very long time before the behaviour is ingrained in their psyche. Just have a look at some real educational cartoons and how pedagogical they have to be in order to get a message across.
