A Killer whale uses a bait fish to hunt a BIRD!

lucky760 says...

I wholly disagree with that sentiment. They would be better off free in the ocean. We don't need to keep an eye on them. They aren't like great white sharks randomly swimming along the shore taking bites out of people. No. They're too smart for something so lowest-common-denominator as that. Yes, they're called "killer" whales for a reason, but you have nothing to fear from releasing them from captivity and enjoying all that the deep blue sea has to offer those beautiful creatures. Speaking of beautiful, I wonder if they share any relationship with panda bears, genetically speaking. They're very different except for the whole black and white thing. And what gives with that whole look anyway? Yes, it's badass and cute, but how does that fit into the whole natural selection deal? How does being black and white make you fitter? Hmm.

Did you ever see Free Willy? You couldn't have. Anyone who's seen that would never endorse keeping these beautiful, intelligent creatures in a cage, much less doing it just to "keep an eye on them." FOR shame!

Hitler tries to rent an apartment in San Francisco

shagen454 says...

I lived in many places in SF from 2001-2011, TL, SOMA, Bernal Heights, Lower-Haight and for a longer while in the Mission.

Never paid more than $550.

Been living in Oakland the last year - have a house 2 small blocks from BART, 1 stop to SF (although there is no need) 7 bedrooms, 2 roommates, 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, large backyard (with many fantastic substances growing), laundry room... and still do not pay over $550 and Oakland is where all the cool people are anyway these days + Quality of life in my opinion is much better especially because the cost of living is a lot lower since I'm not being nickel & dimed (One Dollared) everywhere I go. I can walk to work without any fucking stupid fucks saying a fucking word to me, I could take the bus and not sit in fucking piss & blood and it isn't crowded usually 1 or 2 people on the bus.

Been in SF a few times over the year to see Acid Mother's Temple, Meshuggah and also Panda Bear live...but Oakland even has better Mexican food so it's increasingly off my radar.

First of all, I like your standpoint, nothing wrong with that. We simply don't know, maybe the big bang was an imploding black hole in another plane of existence, creating our own 4 dimensional reality. Maybe it was an omnipotent being looking like a giant spider with Panda bears instead of arms, maybe both.
Although Occam razor would suggest the first alternative (which on a grand scale sounds equally ridiculous to me), we still don't know.

And secondly ask yourself this (I don't mean you in special bobknight), "Is it even possible to consider biological evolution in isolation from everything else?". I don't think thats possible, first we need something like really huge stars to create heavy atoms (i mean everything with more protons than helium, that's not what a chemist would call heavy). We need smaller stars that don't burn up that fast and deliver energy, we need a planet in the right distance to this star. Ohh and the planet itself doesn't have the properties to sustain life from the beginning, earth also had to "evolve" to the kind of planet that was able to sustain life and therefore start the biological evolution. There are many more of these requirements and they also needed to "evolve" from this huge pile of energy called the big bang.

Evolution is real. However to imply or believe that all things evolved from the utter basic building blocks to what we have today is absurd.

Panda Bear's amazing new video "Alsatian Darn"

shagen454 says...

"Noah Benjamin Lennox[2] (born July 17,[1] 1978 in Baltimore, Maryland) also known as Panda Bear, is an experimental musician and a founding member of Animal Collective."

Animal Collective were wildy successful in 2009 - Merriweather Post Pavilion was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2009. Even, Spin selected it as the best album of 2009. Panda Bear's last album "Person Pitch" was named by Pitchfork Media to be the top album of 2007[17] and placed it 9th on the Top 200 Albums of The Decade.

They innovated experimental music with using samplers to create strange rhythmic pop songs. I calmly resent that question because all of you should be at least trying to listen to new and innovative music if you're into music. If you're into music you should try to not be closed-minded... at all. I know it's difficult but if there is a genre or field of music someone has done that style well enough for me to enjoy. For me to resolve this question with - didn't you know Animal Collective's album was the best album of the entire year?! PSHHH... is ridiculous. Bottom-line - listen to music and don't worry about whether you should care or not, just listen and have a good time.

Who's Panda Bear?
... and why should we care/take interest?
Not meant as a Troll, I've just never heard of Panda Bear - ever, in any-way, or at any-time as an artist or otherwise.
I could be out of touch, but maybe a better description is required here.

But there is always the possibility that she could sneak online somewhere else or when her parents weren't watching. There is no way to absolutely foolproof against your kids doing something stupid. Sure, the parents didn't even take the minimum precautions, but the tragedy that struck could have happend anyway.

Is the point you're making that its okay that she received death threats and had a lot of harassment because her parents failed to protect her properly? Or are you blaming her directly because she automatically needs to take responsibility for whatever she does at whatever age? Neither of these alternatives feel very convincing to me.

She made some bad choices, she said things she shouldn't have said, she might even have done things utterly stupid. But in no way could she at 11 understand the full depth of what she was doing and what kind of people she was dealing with.

I read some discussions involving you here on the sift, and I think people who didn't know you or know what you had done came out and judged you and it hurt, and you hadn't realized how your actions would be perceived by others and couldn't understand the reaction and/or backlash that you had to face. If that hurt you, you should have at least an inkling of understanding about how hurtful the combined effort of 4chan would be able to utterly destroy someone. I cannot bring myself to see any humor in it.

I don't know, I recently posted a horrible video of israelis killing palestinians. I thought it was fun, so maybe Im just full of shit. It's possible. But I feel sorry for this girl.

Freedom, like the internet, comes with responsibility. If you're not adult enough to realize that responsibility, then you definitely shouldn't use it. The parents, as always, are to blame for the behavior of the kids.
She's like a stupid tourist who wants to get her picture taken with a cuddly wuddly panda bear, kicks it, and gets her face bitten off. I don't hate her, I feel sorry for her. And I laugh derisively in her general direction.

In my PQ potentially because people think there is no shortage of panda vids, but alas, little do they realize this is an EVIL panda bear. Yes, there is such a thing.
