Good stuff, Maynard!
A Perfect Circle - Passive
I'll second that, eMotive was a fine album indeed. Too bad not many people picked it up on their way to the voting booth, like Maynard had hoped.

after watching a bunch tool videos (especially old ones) i cant tell if Maynard is tripping balls on something or if thats just the zone he gets into. after seeing some of the few interviews hes done he doesnt seem like he would be your average druggy frontman
I can't say that I know for sure, but the impression I've always gotten from what I've heard and read is that everything on stage is a performance. That said, I'm pretty sure that most of the band members are (or were) probably pretty into trippin'.

Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums
There are some good things about this video, but I personally think this song and video, on the whole, marks a low point for Maynard. Both in terms of the audio and the images, its always just struck me as very ham-fisted. Too easy, in my mind, especially for an artist who has done so much to re-define rock music. Tool will always be one of my favorite bands, and APC isn't bad either (though Mer de Noms is I think really the only great one of the three), but Emotive is (again, in MY mind) sort of a blight on MJK's musical career.

Local Philly CBS News Station Gets a Biden Beatdown
>>>Their tax scheme is the same poop that failed in the 1920s, failed again in >>>the 1960s, and will fail yet again should enough voters fall for it.
I am sorry but this comment is so wrong it is not funny. The amercian economy is not booming like it was in the 1920's. It more like in 1929 at the start of the great depression. You should go study some ecomoniuc history in particlar the great man John Maynard keynes. How was the ecomony saved from the great depression? Through incressed government spending and targeted tax cuts. McCain's policies will not do either of these effectively. He tax cuts at the top end of town will not boost the economy as effectively as those of Obama's. Giving tax cuts to low income people will result in the money being spent in local commmunities, which will directly provide increased revenue for small businesses. The rich are more likey to save the money from tax cuts or spend it outside of the U.S. In short Obama's tax policy is much better targeted than McCain and talk of it being socialist and Unamercian is the real poop.
Green Jelly - Three Little Pigs
I know its been years since this was submitted, but its worth noting that the voice of the Piggies was none other than Maynard James Keenan of Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Pucifer fame.
Rachel Maddow + Paul Krugman÷Economy x McCain=Baaaaad
when your "expert economist" starts off by quoting "the great john maynard keynes", you know you're f*cked.
100 years from now...I think "keynes" will be a dirtier word than "hitler." in fact, can I go ahead and lay claim to the law of keynes analogies?
Tool - Schism
When they play this live, Maynard busts out a headless bass.
Maynard throws fan to the ground, carries on with show!
Maynard takes brazilian ju jitsu. He put that dude in a rear naked choke
Maynard throws fan to the ground, carries on with show!
Maynard pulls an Elvis! Maynard is awesome.
Gavin Rossdale - Glycerine (Live Spring Break 1996)
I saw Bush live about 10 years ago, at Cal Expo in Sac (Veruca Salt and some terrible Sweedish band called Souls opened).
Some fuckwit threw a water bottle at Gavin, and hit him square in the face and knocked himout.
Every time I see a show in Sac, some mouthbreather has to throw their shoe or water bottle on stage. If Tool ever comes back to Sac after the November show a few years back, the one where some fucking idiot threw a shoe at Maynard during Eulogy, I'd be thoroughly surprised.
TOOL - Pushit (live)
I know. I still love them, but the last two times I saw them the majority of their songs were from 10,000 Days. And as much as I love the album, I wanted to heard more from Lateralus and Aenima. Especially this song, which is one of my favorites, for that 8:23 note. *shivers*
>> ^cdominus:
That would have been awesome to be there live, Maynard doesn't go long and high live like he did at 8:23 anymore. At least he hasn't the last few times I've seen them.
