My first 2 times playing through I picked up Yoshimo and kept him until his untimely demise, because of the whole Imoen-gone thing. However, beyond that, I complete forsake Yoshimo (not only because I wanted to see how the plot played out without him) but also because I met this way cooler, more hilarious, and much more versatile thief named Jan Jansen. Some of the best dialogue in your party can only be instigated by Jan, and he's a way cool Illusionist too.

Plus once I got Throne of Bhaal, I started evaluating an NPC's usefulness also considering their High Level Abilities and the raised EXP cap... Jan at least can get HLAs in both Thieving (Use Any Item) and his Mage skills (Planetars).

I don't miss Yoshimo at all.

There was a lot of controversy in the first vid about whether or not the cans were digitally added.

It was widely believed and now proven that the secret to the success of these videos is that they try and try and try again, and all the while looking extremely casual and matter-of-fact. Editing together just the rare successful shots leaves you with a series of clips that impress upon your brain that they can make any impossible shot at will and while paying little to no attention.

A little slight of hand and a little editing magic. They're just video illusionists. (They should call their troupe "The Criss Angels.")

Hey I love these guys... their talented and the make me laugh but that's about it... if they are here trying to enlighten me about the history of earth they should try again... but I do see that they have swayed a few ears from the few comments I did happen to read.
If you think it's hard to make others look bad from afar as they are doing, it's not. They themselves have an "agenda" here and it can be seen very easily if you haven't been dazzled be their critical viewpoint of the interviewed people here (which were picked well for that agenda).
It would be a better film if it weren't filled with soooo many mis truths.
