What Vaping Does to the Body

newtboy says...

No oils should be in properly made nicotine vape juice…but there is glycerin that comes from vegetable oil and often still contains oils, propylene glycol that’s not safe to breathe, sugars, formaldehyde, acroline (used in herbicides/damages DNA), unregulated “flavorings” and more, all of which are carcinogenic when heated.
Also, there’s plenty of fly by night nicotine vape juice makers that use whatever smokes, including massage oil in some cases.

The only way to be SURE what’s in it is to make your own from ingredients you either produce or vet well. Don’t buy it by the gallon on eBay or Craigslist.

As I mentioned above, I vape live rosen, which has zero additives and is simply heat pressed from fresh flowers. I’m not saying that’s healthy, but it is free of all carcinogenic man made chemical adulterants unlike ANY nicotine or most cannabis juices, and free of nearly all cellulose unlike plain tobacco or marijuana.

It would be nice if this video differentiated between nicotine and cannabis vaping in the title. Nicotine vapes are a lot safer than cannabis-based ones. There are no oils used in nicotine-based vapes.

Neat science trick that I'd love to have the soap formula to

The Most Extreme Fire Extinguisher On Earth

newtboy says...

Nice...that's awesome.
Reminds me of the old school movie Wages of Fear, where they drove trucks full of nitro glycerin through the jungle to blow up a well fire (the old way of putting them out). That's a pretty extreme fire extinguisher too!

Might I suggest to you and @lucky760 "the wages of fear"? My favorite movie, and the introduction of Super Mario (oddly I'm only kind of joking about that) in the 50's. It's about bums in Mexico getting a job driving trucks of nitro glycerin through the jungle to a burning oil well. Remade as "sorcerer" in 77 with Roy Schieder (see the original first) it's still my favorite movie, due largely to the last 30 seconds of the film (I won't spoil it). It's a bit of a slow start, like many older movies are, but it gains speed quite nicely. I still love it even though it's French (and I hold onto my irrational hatred of the French because, well, you gotta hate someone!)
Hope you like it if you try it.

That movie trailer you posted looks great. A real good feels type movie. There are so few good films that it sucks to have to wait when there is one you want to see.

Ill pimp a movie at you that i just saw as it is a feel good film that I really loved and you may also. Watch the trailer

Tobacco Firms Resist Anti-Smoking Drives

chingalera says...

Problems manifest themselves when trying to eliminate "bad" habits. One available solution for those who relish in the pleasure of drawing smoke into their lungs without the pain of having their case-study photos on fag packets?? The electronic cigarette.(Powered by batteries/vegetable glycerine/propylene glycol and sweet, sweet, nicotine they won't damage your lungs, but let me tell-It'll sure amp-up your heart-rate what with that sweeeeet mainline of Nic-o-tine!

Heart-attacks come faster now. But at least I smell pretty again!

Squirrel Bites Boy

Hard to believe that things like this were once made by hand.
And that glycerine thing? I had no idea.
I love learning new things. Thanks, VS.

I had always wondered what the liquid was, I had thought I heard some wheres that the liquid was mineral oil. How long does yogurt last out side the fridge, I have this yogurt cup that's been out of the fridge for 24 hours and I kind of wanna eat it.

Yup, just fascinating how something we all take for granted and don't think much about is actually a very complex mechanism...

Cymbal hit in slow motion

Reefie says...

Slo-mo tip #37: To make your slo-mo capture stand out from similar slo-mo capture sequences scatter a healthy handful of dust across the subject(s) that will be moving within the sequence. When capturing sequences of human movement, apply plenty of water and glycerine to the subject instead of dust.

Salutations and good will !

I was thinking of actually getting myself a banana hammock garment and making my own avatar, something with my arms up and behind my head, Vaseline or glycerine lightly dusting my beer fat.

Giant bubbles on the beach. Beautiful.
