So your argument is that it's ok for one ethnic group to wastefully kill an endangered species for an over-priced, tasteless status symbol because another ethnic group force feeds birds to make an over-priced status symbol?

The point about global warming is that all the available evidence shows that:
1. It is happening
2. It is man-made.

Why is that a problem? well, because we dont know what the consequences could be, we dont know how to stop the rising temperature or if theres a limit or if or when we can reverse the trend.

All of the above could happen, or it might not, some of it may not be due to GW and some of it may be. The fact is that we are messing with earths ecosystem, which is the very reason we are here in the first place. We grew up and evolved as a species on this planet, under these conditions, how will a rapid(geologically rapid 100-200 years) change in climate affect us as a species? how will it affect millions of other species? How will it affect weather? viruses? diseases? deserts? forests?

We don't know

He missed the argument in a few ways. The same people who say gay marriage is unnatural also say that humans were created specially by God, so those same people can claim that humans were created to have straight and non-incestuous sex only.

A better argument for gay marriage (remember now that gay marriage isn't equal to butt sex) is that there are long-term gay couples in nature, including a famous threesome (of geese? ducks?) in the Central Park Zoo. They are a better example for gay marriage in nature.

But those same people can also claim that God made humans to be higher than any animal, and part of "higher" means that animals can do what they do, but it's only natural for humans to marry people of the opposite sex.

The argument against this is that marriage itself is a human-made social convention. In the beginning, there wasn't any marriage. It simply became socially easier if a particular woman was officially claimed and recognized as claimed by the rest of the society to prevent costly infighting between the men who were then unavailable to hunt and defend the tribe.

But those same people can also claim that God created the institution of marriage at the moment he created Eve, so there never was a lack of marriage in society.

And there is no argument against dogma. So don't bother.

This dude had a neck that comes out nearly a foot at lightening fast speed. His head is the size of a baseball.. Dont let the slow moving body fool you. These things can be NASTY as hell when you mess with them. You just dont walk over and pet it, or try to pick it up. The claws on his feet are razor sharp and about an inch long. Those feet are INCREDIBLY strong. My plan was to relocate him to the Mississippi River after work that day so he wouldnt EAT the newly hatched baby ducks and baby geese on the pond in the background. When I came back an hour or so later, he did finally make it over the fence and is now back into the pond. So far, the ducks and geese are fine. All are still accounted for.
He crawled into this fenced in enclosure sometime during the night, I found him the next morning just crawling along the interior of the fence just looking for a way out.
