Obama Knows His Computer Science

hixsonj says...

Sorry guys. Didn't mean to post this as a "fucking" dupe. Just thought it was a funny clip. Some people might not want to watch a 20 minute interview and would just rather see this funny bit.

Suck on that, Videosift! I got Achmed sifted!

Lemurs Get High On Giant Millipedes

Funny bit of animal behavior and ethology.

In fact, drug use amongst animals is not so rare, drinking alcohol amongst primates for example is pretty well documented. Evolutionary development of magic mushrooms and marijuana are linked to their effects on animals. Lol @ the voiceover though, JUNKIE LEMURS: DESTROYING AMERICA, ONE MILLIPEDE AT A TIME? WE REPORT, YOU DECIDE!

How Many Times Have You Been Spanked? Busted!

MaxWilder says...

Thylan, what are you talking about? That was a really funny bit of dialog. What you say about laughter being a relief/release response is true, but really doesn't apply here.

It's not even a true Freudian slip, she was just repeating part of the question as a conversational tactic to give herself time to construct her answer, but the two together implied something quite different. There's no perceived threat.

Sorry about overanalysing guys, just confused about that comment.

News Anchorwoman's euphemism for male arousal

MINK says...

the funny bit is the way they both look like they noticed the joke, but both kept it 99% under wraps that they noticed. or maybe i am just reading that into the situation.

the problem here is the misleading title i think. it's not even a euphemism.

The Amazing Racist -- KKK

James Inman Rants at Seattle (WTO Protest 1999)

rickegee says...

as long as i don't have to cite-check or brief it. UNLESS I can put on the powdered wig . . .ooooh wigginess.

at least this strange, funny bit of business finally made it to the front. I am such a sucker for city council antics.

Fox News' Daily Show: "The 1/2 Hour News Hour"

pmkierst says...

I didn't think it was that bad, really, and it had a couple of funny bits (admittedly interspersed with some yawners).

However, the title is kind of irritating ... haven't they ever hear of "This hour has 22 minutes"??? Classic (and very very funny) Canadian TV.

Tom Cruise breaks into hysterics on Letterman @ 2:31

LadyBug says...

that had me cracking up!! it's so funny when people are laughing so hard that they can't get to the really funny bit of their story ... and in the end, you end up laughing almost as hard as they are!

and stop giving tom a hard time!

You know things are bad when Joe Scarborough is asking if Bush is an idiot...

Wepwawet says...

"I didn't think Joe would ever be the source of a Bush blooper reel, but check his blog out too."

Since Olbermann became a success and Dan Abrams was promoted to manager big-shot, MS-NBC has quit trying to be FOX News Lite. They killed Rita Cosby's show and Abrams own show, and Tucker Carlson's and Joe Scarborough's shows are both becoming more Countdownesque. Carlson has some funny bits slagging Nancy Grace, and Joe has done some good bits on Laura Ingram. Tucker and Joe aren't my two favorite people in the world, but at least they both seem to have authentic senses of humor, something completely absent from the folks at FOX and CNN.

The network is actually becoming watchable, at least in small doses.

Al Gore's Unseen Campaign Video

dreamcore says...

Oh come on, what a bunch of crap. This was not "unseen". This was all over the networks, hell, even I saw it, and I'm the sort that tunes in to about 1-2 shows on TV per week. The news media went on about what it meant that Spike Jonez was trying to humanize the mandroid for Generation XYZ, or whatever. I thought it started out promising up through the bit with the gas mask: yeah, man, you've got to go everywhere with that? Bummer.

But it soon gets tedious, except for a couple of unintentionally funny bits. Somehow the long back-and-forth between Al and Tipper with her noting repeatedly that he's just "not stiff AT ALL" stays in the final cut. Later we have to put up with the family trying to choose what to watch from a pile of videos, based on recommendations by...someone. I only recall one title being familiar to me, the movie which Al and the rest quickly agreed that they weren't into seeing.

The film? The Patriot.
