The (Totally) Phantom Menace - Lamest Fight Scene EVER!
>> ^Xaielao:
I remember in the theater watching that fight and my jaw dropped. Such horrid choreography, all about flair and swinging a sword around like jackasses. None of the finesse, the emotional impact in every swing or the shear intensity of the original trilogy.
On that subject, RIP Bob Anderson. We'll never see good sword fighting in movies ever again now that you're gone.
You mean an octogenarian swinging tepidly at a german giant? Yeah the original trilogy was GREEEEAAAATTT.

Little man steals the show with his flawless Lezginka
The young lad is quite *skillful at this dance. It's not just that he has good timing and many moves, he's got flair!
Christopher Hitchens, We Raise Our Glass To You
hitchens voice will be missed.
i appreciated his brand of atheism because he didnt paint with a broad brush.
he was specific in his criticism.he went after the very thing that the fundamentalist holds sacred i.e:bible,torah,quran.
and he was right to do so.
those are tangible, material texts which can be touched, read and interpreted and therefore totally subject to analysis and NOT off the table just for the simple fact they are considered "holy" by some.
he exposed the contradictions.
the utter hypocrisy of so many churches so-called doctrine and because he used that tactic i never saw him lose a debate.
though some perceived the outcome different (dinesh d'souza comes to mind).
he had such a flair about him and his eloquence and ability to expose the religious rhetoric with a snark that was unmatched.i used to actually burst out laughing.
the debates i watched him in always came down to the most basic common denominator which was simply:we cant prove or disprove the existence of spirit or of god and to attempt to is an exercise in futility.game over.
shine on mr hitchens.
It happens only in India !!!
A cultural emphasis on taking pride enough to add flair to your boring mediocre work?
Fabulous!

Police Brutality: Marine Murdered by SWAT!
Not funny and now arrogant. Keep digging. Gotta go with Genji on this one; your input definitely had the 4chan flair. You're free to say whatever you want, but people are equally free to judge you on that. You want to be seen as a person of substance, then lets have it. Until then, you're a fart in the elevator; repulsive and left behind.>> ^rottenseed:
Oh Dr. Comedy here says it's not funny so I guess it isn't. I'd be lying if I said I didn't pause before hitting "submit new comment". But guess what? I did it anyway.
And guess what else...you all did have the "trolling needs to be toned down" discussion yesterday, buuuuuuuuuuuut I guess it didn't work. In fact it was counterproductive. Go figure.
The time and the place is when I deem it necessary. An attempt at censorship is the only crime here.>> ^GenjiKilpatrick:
Tho it's not funny because we already know that she is single and really fuckin' sad because of it.
There's a time and a place and that place shouldn't be videosift.
Upload this video to 4chan and be a dick there.

Didn't we just have this whole "trolling needs to be toned down" discussion yesterday?
How is mocking an enormous social injustice beneficial to anyone?

so...she's single now?
...too soon?
Some people deal with "shit" by laughter, I know I do.
New Channel Pending Approval: DEATH. Approve or Disapprove? (User Poll by lucky760)
I think this would be a good place for some Latin. How about *mortis?

The Latin gives it that artistic, abstract flair that I think you're going for, rather than the snuff undertones of *death. Also, some of the people who don't bother to read the channel rules won't actually know what it means, so maybe they'll just overlook it.
FROM STEEL: The Making of a Soulcraft
Really nice sum what portentous but it worked well so that didn't matter only thing that detracted from it for me was what looked like fake lens flair done in After Effects just seemed naff , the Intermixing of black and white shots was done realy nicely though.
I always enjoy watching people work and build things with it edited together showing the process and the product coming out completed, If only thats what it was like to make things yourself!
Battlefield 3: In-game, gameplay footage (Part 2)
graphics look nice but , to much shit bloom and contrast its like 90s games and lens flair all over again , also the actual game play shown so far looks utterly retarded and bland kind of thing that works well in a film but in a game just feels dead and robotic especially if your the type of player that likes to "play" a game thats presented as an open game but is in fact a linear on rails shooter.
With any luck the multilayer will be open like it was in bf 1942 , or the give modders the tools so people can make a good game of it instead of having something that plays like a shallow console shooter.
I dont have annything against console shooters , but the whole USP of Bf was big maps vehicular combat with time and space for tactics , Games like COD do the corador shooter stuff just fine.
Just hope this plays more like BF1942 and less like bad company , bf1943 on 360 was actualy quite good and seemed to mix the new stuff well with the old stuff.
but in llikelyhood this will turn out to be another dulled down pc game to make it work well for console , Ill defintly get it on day 1 Evan though bad company 2 was a bit dull compared to original bf games still a pretty solid game and at least the net-code works in the new frostbite engin, and im sure bf3 will be the same.
on final note , The sound is fantastic so at least they got that right 10 points to the sound designer lol actually more excited about the sound design than the rest of the game.
Roddick Wins With "The Best Shot of my Life"
>> ^Crosswords:
I agree somewhat with Westy, it certainly lacks the flair of American football when a player makes a spectacular catch, or well executed plays trounce their opponents.
I've been trying to watch some NFL games on tv here in Finland when I have the opportunity, because I do think that handegg is basically a good game, requiring a lot of tactical and strategical thinking along with high amounts of athleticism. The problem is that it's impossible to watch. Totally, completely impossible. We lack the advertisements you guys get over there, and since there really isn't anything to replace them with they have to put on a blank screen (because they don't get the feed during the advertisements either), so you get a few minutes of game time and then you get a static image with some elevator music playing until you get back to the game for another few minutes. If only the pauses between plays would be more along the lines of 10 seconds, tops...
At least the Super Bowl had some historical footage to show during the commercial breaks...
