Batman: Arkham Origins TV Spot

HugeJerk says...

I assume this is another Blur Studios trailer... amazing quality as always. The game is being made by a different developer than the first two, which were done by Rocksteady. I think I read that the same engine was being used and Rocksteady provided some feedback and support... so I'm still pretty optimistic about the game being as good as the previous ones.

top ten chris farley moments

poolcleaner says...

Chris Farley, Elvis Presley, Tupac Shakur, The Beatles (they were all fucked up on various abuses, including physical), Michael Jackson, River Phoenix, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Heath Ledger, John Belushi, Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison, Biggie Smalls, Gary Coleman...

I don't think Chris Farley is the prime example, but he's on the list.

But... that doesn't mean their works are any less for it. Getting famous for having talent brings reward, but it also blurs the lines and stunts maturity...

Most of these people didn't even make it to 30, or were so fucked up by the time they had hit this milestone, there was nothing they could do; they didn't have the necessary life lessons that guide us by constant evolution of being. Too many rewards and too much pressure with few threshold guardians to intercede. It's a gauntlet.

None of them. Chris Farley is a prime example of everything wrong with "hollywood comedy".

I've watch 83 seconds of this video, and so far I hate every single aspect of it.
Chris Farley and David Spade are marginally less amusing than finding out you have herpes and Adam Sandler isn't much better.

And then the host says "as per uushe". WTF? you couldn't say "as per usual".

Rick Mercer, on Canadian Stereotypes

Payback says...

Haven't watched the video yet, but... Have you ever watched contemporary Canadian films? You know, ones based in modern times?

We seem to produce two types of films. Excellent, factual, and interesting documentaries...

and semi-intellectual fap fuel that blurs the line between edgy art house celluloid and hardcore porn.

So... the whole "thinking about sex" thing?

Sesame Street: Me Want It (But Me Wait)

Jacob tries the Oculus Rift (roller coaster)

jubuttib says...

They are already. You can go to their homepage and pre-order one right now. The next batch of orders is currently expected to ship out in September, hence the "pre-order" bit. So if you actually want one you can get them within a few months by ordering now, or faster if you get one from eBay (will cost extra though). =)

Though if you're sensible you'd wait for the consumer model, which will have a better screen (higher pixel density to lower the "screendoor" effect, lower switch times for less motion blur, better contrast) as well as other nice features (positional tracking on top of directional tracking, so you can actually look around corners, not just pivot your head). You'll be waiting for those for a year or two though. =)

Bill Maher - Tea Party Porn

VoodooV says...

was it because she's not fitting into the neat box of either left vs right?

as the conservatives as we know it start to implode, we're going to see more shifting and it will blur the lines more. Conservatives will adopt less hard-line stances and become more liberal.

we're going to see more splinter groups like the tea-baggers, but it will run the gammut. some will be more conservative, some will be less conservative. Ideally I wish this would mean the death of the party system. but realistically it just means things will be chaotic for a while until things settle down into a new "left" and a new "right" but in the end, it will be somewhat more rational, if only minutely so.
