Utterly Surreal News Parody - "The Day Today"
Didn't even see this in the queue. The high water mark of British TV. Pure fucking genius.
If you have never heard Blue Jam, download some mp3s, get them on your ipod, wait til dark, and you'll be in for a real treat.

Thanks for the rather passionate comment and the upvote for my "The Day Today" video. That show IS awesome and deserves alot more recognition.
And I'll be sure to check out his others shows too.

you need to know that Chris Morris, the guy that made it, is a fucking genius.
Also in this clip is an early Alan Partridge, the Steve Coogan character that got his own series.
And you also need to know that this show was made in 1994, it's way ahead of its time, predicting very accurately the farce that television news has become.
Check out Brass Eye and Blue Jam also.

of course, the fact that this clip only has 3 upvotes is yet another sign that the queue is fucked. This is a classic show, a landmark in British broadcasting history, the best satire ever in the universe, the sound and picture quality are ok, and there's no fucking lolcats. If this isn't Sift material then I really don't know what the fuck i am doing here.
Please permanently requeue.
De Lucía, Bandera, Cañizares-Se Gusta Guitarra??
Friday Night in San Francisco has been called 'self-indulgent'. I just call it genius at work. Even when they do get silly (the Pink Panther/blues jam), it's still crazy good.
This ain't bad either.
