This is the first time I listed to this pop-trash-music. My first impression is that the produced, auto-tuned version is both breathy and has a lot of the over-auto-tuned T-pain sound to it. In other words her live vocals are essentially missing a special effect and a proper wind filter on her mic. Plus, live she's probably dancing/performing aerobically. Not too bad. If I saw her live I'd still walk out after one song on account of the inanity, however.

I agree, you can tell she is a performer, she has vocal training and she projects well... and she's cute to look at. In terms of actual talent, maybe she doesn't have the best voice. But she's certainly not the first to use auto tune, it's not fair to single her out.

yep it is and I think it really ruins the game for English people maby if they had applied some auto-tune / filters to it so it didn't just sound like Steve merchant doing a voice over through 60% of the game then it would have been ok.
I think they were looking for a "generic" English type person john clease typ thing and steve was the only one they could find lol.
I think most people will enjoy portal and think its utterly amazing. It is better than allot of games and is pretty polished , but at the same time i think it feels really dulled down as a game and although some of the puzzles and the mechanics available are really good , it missed allot of puzzles that would just be "fun" to do and certainly lacks puzzles that allow for th player to compleat them in multiple ways or in creative ways.
I think it suffers a tiny bit from consolitus ( no where near as bad as most games nowerdays)
What i don't understand as well is why the pc multipler is not set up in the same way as the CSS surf maps worked , where u could join into a server and play custom maps with a bunch of people that would be Realy good. i guess they wanted to do a split screen typ coop for console users.
im sure sum-one will mod it and it will evolve from there so that will be interesting to see

Didn't ruin it for me (an English person) becuase Wheatley is supposed to be a moron. Perfect voice for such a purpose.

At least the japanise are not in denile when it comes to computer aided music , its strange how in western countries we still bother to have a human when we auto-tune them to the extent that the human dosent really perform a function on the music itself.

If you ditch the need to have human you can then do more experimental stuff with the songs.

Its a shame we dont have Humanoid robots to perform this sort of stuff yet maby another 10-20 years we will.

I'm suprized we don't have stuff close to this in western culture as in the end its all just motivated out of capitalism and its a fairly eficent reliable low cost and convenant way of making money out of music I guess gorilaz is the only thing like this in uk
