Actually, Plant's voice is probably the best it's ever been.

No, he can't hit those very high notes that he used to, but he's compensated for it in other ways. I mean, listen to his new album with Alison Krause.

Anyway, from everything I've read, it was an outstanding concert. Everyone is raving about it including some really nasty critics who couldn't stand them. So if the critics that couldn't stand them AND the ones that loved them all agree, something is there. Not bad for a band that hadn't performed a full concert in 27 years!

But not to worry, it looks like they taped the whole thing so we'll see a DVD of this in the next few months and hopefully a world tour.

Best live performers I recall were Alison Krauss & Union Station, Scorps Love at First Sting, Sammy Hagar, Def Leppard, Dio.

That dude is so awesome, and put beside Alison they are just a ridiculous combo. And then the other guitarist just won musician of the year... insane combo.. they are the JUSTICE LEAGUE of BLUEGRASS

The first song I heard from Nickel Creek was "When You Come Back Down" and the Alison Krauss force was SO strong in it I knew immediately she had something to do with it. Have you listened to Alison Krauss & Union Station album "So Long So Wrong"? (a masterpiece) That Nickel Creek song I mention is definitely a blood relative to the songs on there. I saw AK&US live in the Anchorage Performing Arts Center and OMG are they good live. Plus she is so beautiful.. : ) I'm going to go post an AK video right now.

Thanks deathcow. This song is so worth listening to, as is all their music, in my opinion. Pity they've stopped playing. I didn't realise Alison Krause was their manager.
